When reporting a bug or issue, please include the following information to help us resolve your problem faster:

App Version & Device Information

How to find your app version:

  1. Open No Frills Flyers & Deals
  2. Go to Settings
  3. Scroll to the bottom
  4. The app version will be displayed as "Version X.X.X"

How to find your device information:

For iOS:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Tap General → About
  3. Note your iOS version and device model

For Android:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Tap About Phone
  3. Note your Android version and device model

Account & Sign-In Issues

I can't sign in to my account

  1. Check that you're using the correct email address
  2. Ensure you have a stable internet connection
  3. Try the "Forgot Password" option to reset your password
  4. If using Sign in with Apple, ensure you're signed into your Apple ID on your device
  5. Try closing the app completely and reopening it

I don't receive verification emails

  1. Check your spam/junk folder
  2. Add "zakaria2011@live.no" to your contacts
  3. Try requesting another verification email after 5 minutes

Subscription & Billing

I was charged but don't have access to features

  1. Verify the transaction in your App Store or Google Play purchase history
  2. Ensure you're signed in with the same account used for the purchase
  3. Try restoring purchases: Settings → Subscription → Restore Purchases
  4. If issues persist, contact us with your transaction receipt

How do I cancel my subscription?

For iOS:

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone
  2. Tap your name at the top
  3. Tap Subscriptions
  4. Select No Frills Flyers & Deals
  5. Tap Cancel Subscription

For Android:

  1. Open Google Play Store
  2. Tap Menu → Subscriptions
  3. Select No Frills Flyers & Deals
  4. Tap Cancel Subscription

Note: Cancellation only prevents renewal; you'll maintain access until the current period ends.

App Functionality

Flyers aren't loading or showing old deals

  1. Check your internet connection
  2. Pull down to refresh the flyers page
  3. Ensure you have the latest version of the app installed
  4. Try closing the app completely and reopening it

Prices aren't showing or seem incorrect

  1. Prices are sourced from publicly available No Frills data
  2. Prices may vary by location and may not reflect current in-store prices
  3. Pull down to refresh to get the latest pricing information
  4. Always verify prices at checkout in-store

AI Recipe Generator isn't working

  1. Ensure you have Apple Intelligence enabled on your device
  2. Check that your device supports Apple Intelligence (iPhone 15 Pro or later with iOS 18.1+)
  3. Verify you have an active subscription
  4. Check your internet connection

Offline access isn't working

  1. Make sure you've opened the app while online to download flyers
  2. Verify you have sufficient storage space on your device
  3. Shopping lists are saved locally and work offline
  4. Some features (like AI recipes and live prices) require internet

Troubleshooting Critical Issues

App Crashes or Freezes

  1. Update to the latest version of the app
  2. Clear the app cache:
    • iOS: Settings → General → iPhone Storage → No Frills Flyers & Deals → Offload App, then reinstall
    • Android: Settings → Apps → No Frills Flyers & Deals → Storage → Clear Cache
  3. Ensure your device has:
    • At least 500MB of free storage space
    • The latest OS updates
    • A stable internet connection
  4. If the issue persists, try uninstalling and reinstalling the app

Notifications Not Working

For iOS:

  1. Go to Settings → Notifications
  2. Find No Frills Flyers & Deals
  3. Ensure "Allow Notifications" is turned on
  4. Check that notification style is set appropriately

For Android:

  1. Go to Settings → Apps & notifications
  2. Find No Frills Flyers & Deals
  3. Tap Notifications
  4. Ensure notifications are enabled

Account & Data Management

Account Deletion

To delete your No Frills Flyers & Deals account:

  1. Open the app and log in to your account
  2. Navigate to Settings
  3. Scroll all the way to the bottom of the settings page
  4. Tap the red "Delete Account" button
  5. Follow the confirmation steps

Note: Account deletion is permanent and will remove all your data, including shopping lists and saved deals, from our servers within 30 days.

You can also request account deletion by emailing us at zakaria2011@live.no with the subject "Account Deletion Request" from your registered email address.

Data & Privacy

  • To download a copy of your data: Settings → Account → Download My Data
  • Data download requests are processed within 7 business days

About Your Subscription

No Frills Flyers & Deals requires an active subscription to access all features.

  • Weekly ($2.99 CAD), Monthly ($9.99 CAD), and Annual ($79.99 CAD) plans available
  • 7-day free trial for new subscribers
  • Access to all flyers, shopping lists, AI recipes, and price tracking
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled

Managing Your Subscription

For iOS:

  1. Open the App Store on your iOS device
  2. Tap on your profile icon in the top-right corner
  3. Tap "Subscriptions"
  4. Find and select "No Frills Flyers & Deals"
  5. Here you can:
    • See your current subscription status and renewal date
    • Change your subscription plan
    • Turn off auto-renewal
    • Cancel your subscription

For Android:

  1. Open Google Play Store
  2. Tap Menu → Subscriptions
  3. Select No Frills Flyers & Deals
  4. Manage your subscription settings

Refund Requests

For iOS:

Apple manages all App Store purchases and refunds:

  1. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com
  2. Sign in with your Apple ID
  3. Locate your No Frills Flyers & Deals purchase
  4. Select "Request a Refund" and follow the instructions

For Android:

Google manages all Google Play purchases and refunds:

  1. Visit Google Play Help
  2. Sign in with your Google account
  3. Follow the instructions for requesting a refund
