When reporting a bug or issue, please include the following information to help us resolve your problem faster:

App Version & Device Information

How to find your app version:

  1. Open Friday – Your AI Travel Genie
  2. Go to the Profile tab
  3. Select "Settings" and scroll to the bottom
  4. The app version will be displayed as "Version X.X.X"

How to find your device information:

For iOS:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Tap General → About
  3. Note your iOS version and device model

  • Access essential local phrases by tapping the "Phrases" tab in your destination guide
  • Filter phrases by category: Greeting, Courtesy, Question, Shopping, etc.
  • All phrases include phonetic pronunciation to help you communicate confidently
  • No internet connection needed once downloaded for your trip

Day Trips Nearby

  • Find curated day trip ideas from your current location by tapping the "Day Trips" tab
  • Each suggestion includes distance, estimated time, and cost range
  • Tap any day trip to see details, transportation options, and highlights
  • Use the back arrow to return to your main itinerary

Know Before You Go

  • Access pre-arrival tips by tapping "Before Arrival" in your destination guide
  • Get practical advice like what to pack and local apps to download
  • Learn about local customs, safety tips, and common scams to avoid
  • Read location-specific guidance for a smoother travel experience

Ratings & Hours

  • View ratings and opening hours for attractions, restaurants, and venues
  • See detailed user reviews and star ratings from Google
  • Hours are displayed in your local time zone for easy planning
  • Use the globe icon to open the location in maps

Account & Sign-In Issues

I can't sign in to my account

  1. Check that you're using the correct email address
  2. Ensure you have a stable internet connection
  3. Try the "Forgot Password" option to reset your password
  4. If using Sign in with Apple, ensure you're signed into your Apple ID on your device
  5. Try closing the app completely and reopening it

I don't receive verification emails

  1. Check your spam/junk folder
  2. Add "friday.ai.travel.planner@gmail.com" to your contacts
  3. Try requesting another verification email after 5 minutes

How to reset your password

  1. On the sign-in screen, tap "Got an account? Sign in"
  2. Enter the email address associated with your account
  3. Tap the "Forgot Password" or "Reset Password" button
  4. Check your email for a reset code
  5. Enter the code you received to verify your identity
  6. You will be automatically logged in after successful password reset

Subscription & Billing

I was charged but don't have Premium features

  1. Verify the transaction in your App Store purchase history
  2. Ensure you're signed in with the same account used for the purchase
  3. Try restoring purchases: Settings → Subscription → Restore Purchases
  4. If issues persist, contact us with your transaction receipt

How do I cancel my subscription?

  1. Go to App Store → your profile → Subscriptions → Friday AI → Cancel
  2. Note: Cancellation only prevents renewal; you'll maintain access until the current period ends

App Functionality

My AI-generated itinerary isn't loading

  1. Check your internet connection
  2. Try closing the app completely and reopening it
  3. Ensure you have the latest version of the app installed
  4. Try creating a new trip plan with more specific destination details

Offline access isn't working

  1. Make sure you've downloaded your trip plans before going offline
  2. Verify you have sufficient storage space on your device
  3. Ensure your subscription is active and not expired

Currency converter issues

  1. Check your internet connection for latest exchange rates
  2. Try manually refreshing the currency data
  3. Verify the currencies are supported in the current version

Troubleshooting Critical Issues

Sign in with Apple

  1. Ensure you have the latest version of iOS/Android
  2. Verify you're signed into iCloud on your device
  3. Check that you have a stable internet connection
  4. Try these steps:
    • Force close the Friday app
    • Restart your device
    • Check for system updates
    • Try signing in again
  5. If problems persist, try unlinking your Apple ID account:
    • Settings → Apple ID → Password & Security → Apps Using Apple ID → Friday AI → Stop Using Apple ID
    • Then try signing in again with your Apple ID

App Crashes or Freezes

  1. Update to the latest version of the app
  2. Clear the app cache:
    • iOS: Settings → General → iPhone Storage → Friday AI → Offload App, then reinstall
    • Android: Settings → Apps → Friday AI → Storage → Clear Cache
  3. Ensure your device has:
    • At least 500MB of free storage space
    • The latest OS updates
    • A stable internet connection
  4. If the issue persists, try uninstalling and reinstalling the app (note: ensure your data is synced to your account first to prevent data loss)

Account & Data Management

Account Deletion

To delete your Friday – Your AI Travel Genie account:

  1. Open the app and log in to your account
  2. Navigate to Profile → Settings
  3. Scroll all the way to the bottom of the settings page
  4. Tap the red "Delete Account" button
  5. Follow the confirmation steps

Note: Account deletion is permanent and will remove all your data from our servers within 30 days in accordance with our data retention policies.

You can also request account deletion by emailing us at friday.ai.travel.planner@gmail.com with the subject "Account Deletion Request" from your registered email address.

Data & Privacy

  • To download a copy of your data: Profile → Settings → Account Management → Download My Data
  • Data download requests are processed within 7 days
  • For privacy concerns or data requests, contact us at friday.ai.travel.planner@gmail.com

Subscription Management

About Your Subscription

Please note that all features in the Friday app require an active subscription. There are no free features available without a subscription.

  • Monthly and annual plans are available
  • Your subscription unlocks all features: AI trip planning, offline maps, currency converter, local phrases, and more
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled

Managing Your Subscription

  1. Open the App Store on your iOS device
  2. Tap on your profile icon in the top-right corner
  3. Tap "Subscriptions"
  4. Find and select "Friday – Your AI Travel Genie"
  5. Here you can:
    • See your current subscription status and renewal date
    • Change your subscription plan (monthly/annual)
    • Turn off auto-renewal
    • Cancel your subscription

Refund Requests

Apple manages all App Store purchases and refunds:

  1. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com
  2. Sign in with your Apple ID
  3. Locate your Friday – Your AI Travel Genie purchase
  4. Select "Request a Refund" and follow the instructions
